NOTE:  All programs listed below can be run by anyone who downloads them.  You do not need to be a purchaser to run any of them.  

General CADD programs will run in "Demo" mode if you have not yet purchased the program.  File Saving is disabled in Demo mode. 

VISTA & Windows 7 Users Please Note!!
You must have Administrator rights and “User Account Control” (UAC) must be turned OFF before installing. After verifying that the program has been installed, UAC may be turned back ON.  This setting is found in the “User Accounts” section of Control Panel.

NOTICE ! !

Because of the many differences between previous versions, This 8.xx BETA version download of GCP will create a new parent folder C:\Program Files\General Cadd 8.  All files pertaining to Version 8.0 will be kept in this directory structure.  This BETA version will not overwrite or replace any existing version of GCP.

If you have older versions of GCP on your computer, you will have to copy any fonts, hatches, macros, drawings and components you wish to use with the Version 8.xx BETA from the previous General Cadd installation folder.   In the v 8.0 Help Drop Down Menu is a MIGRATE Environment command which will assist you in copying your files.

Version 8.0 is not expected to be completed for release till December, 2009

This file is smaller and will save 1/2 the amount of time to download if you already have the FULL version above installed but it does not contain all the files necessary to run GCP8 without a prior FULL installation.

This manual is not included in the FULL Download and must be downloaded and installed separately and whenever it is updated.

What is an Open BETA TEST

The programming staff is currently busy developing the next version (v 8.0) of General CADD.  We invite everyone to download the new BETA version of 8.0 and give it a trial run.  We will appreciate all feedback sent to us using the internal FB Customer Service report form.   

The program at this point is not finished but stable enough to use on a daily basis.  Features will be added bi-weekly and there is really no reason customers who need the features available in this new version cannot take advantage of those features now instead of waiting till the final release date.
